Interior Health announces two new Kaslo physicians

Two Doctors who have worked in Kaslo as locums in the past are the Victorian Health Centre’s new full-time recruits.
The arrival of the physicians – one from Quebec and the other from BC – will mean the end of about two years of service instability and uncertainty.
Interior Health’s Cheryl Whittleton says Kaslo and area residents now know they’ll have family doctors who are committed.
And the doctors know they’re working in a weekday only primary care situation.
24/7 Emergency service ended last year and that was seen as a barrier to recruitment.
One of the new doctors is already keeping a regular schedule.
The other starts full time in September.
