The arrival of two full-time doctors in Kaslo is being seen as a new beginning not a culmination.
This from Maggie Winters from the local health care working group which had been actively seeking recruits along with Interior Health.
She says the first thing is to get this stability in primary care and have doctors who are truly integrated in the community.
Kaslo lost their 24/7 emergency room last year but it’s hoped other locally-based services can be built on the new weekday only model.
