Big announcement regarding Arrow Lakes Hospital set for Friday

Interior Health will be making an important announcement regarding Nakusp’s Arrow Lakes Hospital.

The announcement happens Friday at the hospital at 11:30 am.

IH won’t spill the beans as to what the announcment is about.

Kootenay West MLA Katrine Conroy will be there as well as West Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital District directors, IH representatives, the Village of Nakusp and Arrow Lakes Care Auxiliary members.

The hospital district has been working with IH for years to secure a funding model for upgrades to the hospital’s emergency ward.
