Nelson RCMP investigating multiple mailbox thefts

Nelson RCMP are warning people to not leave mail in boxes for more than a day.

The RCMP are investigating multiple mailbox thefts from various locations.

The police advise checking the physical security of your mailbox, avoid sending cash or cheques in the mail and if there is damage to report it to Canada Post.

The thefts involve small parcels, cards and general mail.

If you have any information regarding the thefts contact your local RCMP detachment.
