Nelson principal honoured by Learning Partnership Canada.

A Nelson principal has been named Canada’s Outstanding Principal 2018.

Carol-Ann Leidloff  was recognised for innovation, leadership and creativity – she’s one of 40 principals to receive the honour.

She’s been the principal at Trafalgar Middle School for six years and teaching for 27.

She says changes she’s helped with in the school allow for flexibility and creativity in students and teachers.

Leidloff adds she’s humbled by the award but no leader leads independently.

The award consists of a gala dinner and a week-long training conference in Toronto with educators from around the country.
