Leafs inch closer to division title

In KIJHL action Sunday in Nelson the Leafs beat the Castlegar Rebels 5-3.

The Leafs need one more win to clinch first in the Neil Murdoch division.

Saturday the Leafs skated to a 4-1 win over the Spokane Braves at home and the Rebels beat the Grand Forks Border Bruins 7-4 in Castlegar.

In Grand Forks Friday the Border Bruins dealt the Rebels a 6-2 loss, in Nelson the Leafs beat the Columbia Valley Rockies 5-2 and in Spokane the Braves upset the Beaver Valley Nitehawks 5-2.
