Nelson Council will review their wages

Nelson will form an indemnity review committee to look at city councillor wages.

Councillor Janice Morrison says Nelson’s remunerations are lower than those in other areas of the regional district.

The committee will consist of three volunteers.

Morrison says it will offer recommendations about setting wage for the incoming council.

The current council can choose to accept or do things differently.
