The RDCK is looking at extending the hours of operation at the soon-to-open new waste transfer station just beyond Nelson.
So says Area F Director Ron Mickel as they prepare to open the Grohman Narrows site Tuesday.
He says the current hours of 8:30 to 4pm don’t fit well with the working day.
Meanwhile he predicts a change of habit once the Lakeside site shuts down Saturday.
He says North Shore residents got used to dropping off the odd bag of garbage there but the Grohman site now involves a longer drive.
