Residents can soon weigh in on Taghum boat launch locations

Possible plans for a new boat launch in Taghum should be released soon. The Regional District of Central Kootenay Board of Directors approved $15,000 for the public outreach process this week. Area E Director Ramona Faust says an engineering firm has made recommendations between a few different sites.

Faust says there’s more to discuss besides locations as the property is owned by Teck.

She isn’t sure exactly when the recommendations will be presented to the public but she’s hoping within the next month.

Area F is also part of the project.
