Call for poetry and youth art work

ArtWalk organizers are getting ready for another great celebration in Nelson. This year is the 30th Anniversary and will have a few twists.  Coordinator Stephanie Myers say they’re bringing back poetry to the downtown which was done a couple years ago.

There’s a call out for poems which can be submitted until June 18.

Opening night is June 29 and will feature a walking tour of local businesses displaying artwork. Myers says that will include artists 18 and under at the Youth Centre who are invited to submit their work.

A second opening night is happening on July 27 where a whole new experience will be launched.

You can submit your poetry to [email protected].
