Stage 3 water conservation measures in Nelson

The City of Nelson is moving to stage three water conservation measures effective Tuesday, August 28.

A notice from the City says there is little rain in the forecast and flows in the source water creeks are rapidly declining.

Outdoor watering with irrigation or sprinkler systems is strictly prohibited. System on a timer or schedule, must be shut down.

Watering is only permitted with a hand held container, micro/drip irrigation or hose with a shut-off nozzle during the hours of 4:00am-9:00am and 7:00pm-10:00pm daily, any day of the week.
