There are plenty of resources in place to tackle the two wildfires burning east of Highway 6 in the Slocan Valley.
So says South East Fire Centre Information Officer Jordan Turner.
This is the second day of efforts to attack the Enterprise Creek fire 1.5 km east of the highway and 8.5 km south of Silverton.
Also crews are working to contain a 3.5 hectare fire burning at Monument Creek 11 km south east of Slocan City.
It’s believed these fires were initially sparked by lighting earlier in the week.
