Community Thanksgiving Dinners in Nelson and Castlegar

Homelessness Action Week kicks off on Monday, October 8 in Nelson with a Thanksgiving Dinner at 520 Falls Street. Ann Harvey with the Nelson Committee on Homelessness issues an invitation.

“It’s open to folks who might not have a Thanksgiving dinner to go to,  having a hard time making ends meat, or might not have a family or friends to have a Thanksgiving dinner with.”

It’s hosted by Our Daily Bread and the Kootenay Christian Fellowship starting at 5:00pm.

In Castlegar on Saturday, October 6 is the Giving Thanks Community Pot Luck Dinner. It’s at the Millennium Park Celgar Pavilion with dinner served at 3:00pm. It’s free and all are welcome to attend – you’re encouraged to bring a side dish.
