Activists make legal push against Jumbo Resort

The fight continues to stop the proposed Jumbo Glacier Resort.

The West Kootenay Eco Society has filed an amended petition to the BC Supreme court calling for it to quash the resort municipality created by the provincial government because it has no people.


Society Executive Director David Reid says a person-less municipality contradicts common law principles.

They’re calling on the public to camp out at the site near Invermere to monitor any ongoing development.

A public hearing goes in Radium Wednesday on a zoning that would allow the developers to build a day lodge and ski lifts.
