Kootenay – Columbia MP Wayne Stetski invites conversation over coffee

Wayne Stetski, Member of Parliament for Kootenay – Columbia will be paying a visit to communities, hosting a coffee talk to hear the questions and concerns of his constituents.
“It’s meant to give people the opportunity to come and just chat about things that they’re interested in, concerns they may have,” Stetski explains. “I find that it allows me the opportunity to learn, which I really like, and allows people to from various communities to meet with their Member of Parliament.”
Not every guest is there to make friends however. Stetski says he rarely runs into abrasive constituents who voice their problems but when he does, he listens.
“What I do, I try and finish the conversation. I value their opinions whether I agree with them or not.”
The first meeting will be at the Creston Valley Bakery from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m, February 12.
He will then visit Crawford Bay at NewKey’s Place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m, move on to Balfour at Kootenay Gourmet from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m and then end the day in Kaslo at the BlueBelle Bistro from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Stetski will stop by the Oso Negro coffee house in Nelson February 13,  from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
“I never get tired of travelling around,” Stetski iterates. “We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world.”
