Raid on Castlegar house turns up stolen truck, propane tanks

CASTLEGAR, B.C – RCMP are looking for a man after a raid in Castlegar on Tuesday night turned up a stash of contraband.

“Police were able to recover a stolen F350 truck, full propane tanks stolen from a Salmo business, numerous sets of tires, tools, heavy-duty dry boxes, a Ford F350 engine and multiple other stolen items”, RCMP writes in a press release.

Eyewitnesses saw at least three RCMP cruisers outside the residence in central Castlegar on Tuesday night.
Sergeant Monty Taylor with RCMP says the suspect was not located at the time of the raid, and that the investigation is still ongoing.
“We remind the public to ensure they have serial numbers or means to record them, such as an engraver”, he told My Nelson Now.
