The CUPE local in Castlegar has confirmed they have presented the city with a settlement offer and an invitation to resume negotiations.
President Leford Lafayette says it is the formal response to the city’s final offer.
But both parties are remaining tight-lipped for the moment.
Mayor Lawrence Chernoff says city staff are reviewing the offer. The union had been calling on the city to return to mediated talks.

But the city said it had not received any response to a final offer they gave the union.
The sticking points are wages and job security language. The city’s 34 civic workers are refusing to do any over-time as part of their strike action.
