New criticism of Grand Forks water metering

Some residents in Grand Forks are still refusing to accept the idea of water meters.

This following city council’s recent signing off on the by-law that makes their installation imminent.

Activist Donald Pharand is questioning whether the city consulted with First Nations before moving ahead with devices he says puts the city into the water commodity business.

He’s also opposed to the smart meters based on the health concerns some people have with electro-magnetic radiation.

He says he’ll be writing to the city and Province on the First Nations matter.
