RCMP raid in Trail turn up heavy drugs, stolen items and a sawed-off shotgun

TRAIL, B.C – A 44-year old man is in custody after a raid in downtown Trail turned up drugs, contraband and a sawed-off shotgun.

Police say they will be pursuing drug trafficking- and weapons charges after a raid on a residence in Trail on Wednesday.
In a late-night news release on Thursday, police confirmed a 44-year old man is in custody.
Officers from the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP, Joint Crime Reduction Unit, and Trail General Investigation Section were involved in the operation, which turned up 26 grams of Methamphetamine, 22 grams of Fentanyl, 3 grams of Heroin, other illicit drugs, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a “sawed-off” shotgun, ammunition, $4800.00 in cash and stolen property.

In addition, stolen items were recovered, including a road bike, a mountain bike, an air compressor, and a tool case from a local company.
Police ask anyone with knowledge of the origins of these items to contact them.

The man will be appearing in court in Rossland on September 19.
