New look Smokies head into training camp optimistic

After a massive overhaul this off-season – the head coach of the Trail Smoke Eaters has some goals as players get set to hit the ice this week.

Trail kicks off training camp Friday before a four game exhibition schedule that starts September 5th.

Nick Deschenes says they’ll be using the preseason action as a litmus test.

The Smokies moved five more players earlier this month including former Captain Adam Wheeldon.

Trail native Scott Davidson will wear this “C” this season.
