"Man In Motion" – can it remain in Nelson permanently?

A particular piece of public art in Nelson should be retained as a permanent reflection and reminder about physical activity that the Queen City is famous for.

This from well known local sports personality Bill McDonnel regarding the Man In Motion bronze sculpture that his family is leasing and has on display at the Community Complex.

He’s looking for community minded folks to come together to invest in the Denis Kleine work.

Kleine has made 10 smaller bronze replicas of the sculpture at $3,000 a-piece.

McDonnel says if they’re sold the main item can become a permanent public asset.
