Kootenay Pass closed for avalanche control Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm MST

Avalanche control activity is planned between the East and West Avalanche Gates on Saturday, Feb 27th from 11:00 a.m until 3:00 p.m. PST.

An alternate route is available from Nelson to Creston via Hwy 3A, Kootenay Lake Ferry. The estimated travel time is 2.5 hours.
