Ex Nelson cop takes shot at mayor

There will be a challenger to Nelson’s incumbent mayor in November’s civic elections.

Former Nelson Police Sergeant Pat Severyn has declared.

He’s born and raised in the Queen City and figures he knows enough to go straight for the top job.

His key platform issues are protecting the vibrancy of the downtown and addressing homelessness.

We asked if he felt there had been enough done on the current council about the problem.
