There is a plan B should a proposed project in Rossland attract more mosquitoes in the short term.
Rachael Roussin – a co-lead on the wetland project in North Jubilee Park – says the damp land already attracts mosquitoes and there are no predators.
She says a well-managed park would bring dragonflies ,frogs and beatles …but if that took time to happen they have an abatement team lined up.
An open house was hosted Tuesday night and Rossland council could sign off on the idea early next year.
The wetlands would be built with grants from senior government.
