A building in Nelson’s Railtown neighbourhood was evacuated this morning following a gas leak.
Fortis Gas says the line was ruptured by a third party around 9 a.m., forcing the evacuation of the former CPR freight shed, which is now home to a number of businesses and organizations.
Crews sealed the line and had it repaired by 12:30 p.m. Seven customers were affected.
