Zaitsoff takes jab at Castlegar mayor and council

The challenger for mayor of Castlegar is upping the rhetoric.

Rural Area J Director Gord Zaitsoff is running against incumbent Lawrence Chernoff as he did three years ago.

He insists he’s the lone voice at the regional hospital board table when it comes to fighting for Castlegar’s health care and a single site hospital model.

And he’s pointing a finger when it comes to divisions in the community – including the labour impasse with CUPE workers.


Zaitsoff says if he became mayor he’d bring in an advisory committee of experienced people to be a sounding board of the community to get those issues in front of council.
