A candidate for Nelson council has a wide and varied role tackling many issues in the community.
Valerie Warmington- who is the executive director of Kootenay Kids Society – works on numerous committees including suicide prevention,homelessness and violence against women.
And she’s very keen to keep pushing for funding for the many social services Nelson has.
Warmington’s platform also includes work on combatting climate change and support for the creative arts – she’s chair of the Oxygen Arts Centre.
