Only two incumbents are in the running for Nelson city council in next month’s elections.

Robin Cherbo says he and Bob Adams have a detailed understanding of city initiatives and can offer continuity with at least four new councillors being elected.

Cherbo says one of his goals is to set a minimum hourly living wage specific for Nelson’s public sector to highlight the fight against poverty. The living wage is a tool used by some municipalities and social service advocates to help the most financially vulnerable.
