Rossland’s Red Mountain Resort has progressed to the next round of Powder Magazine’s popular online voting challenge – Ski Town Throw Down.
It received more votes via the magazine’s Facebook page than Eagle Crest, Alaska.
However Nelson’s Whitewater has been eliminated after securing fewer votes than Mount Washington, Vancouver Island.
Red takes on Mount Washington early next month.
The online competition encourages communities to highlight their ski hill and the magazine labels the ultimate winner North America’s favorite resort.
