New principals announced for South Nelson, Redfish

South Nelson and Redfish elementary schools will have new principals next year as the Kootenay Lake school district has announced several more changes in its administrators.

Salmo elementary principal Dawn Snell will transfer to take the same job at South Nelson Elementary.

Trafalgar vice-Principal Mark Bonikowsky will become principal of Redfish Elementary School.

Mount Sentinel vice-principal Jennifer Adams will become principal of Canyon-Lister Elementary.

Roman Wyllie, who currently works in Qualicum, has been hired as vice-principal of L.V. Rogers Secondary. He’s been a secondary teacher and adjunct professor since 2014.

The changes are in addition to others announced last month.

The district says openings at Salmo Elementary and Mount Sentinel will be filled in the coming months and announced before the next school year.
