Build more affordable housing: RDCK candidate

The election challenger in RDCK Area E wants to focus on creating more affordable housing across the region.

Developer Rick Marken says he’d bring business and local government together to create seniors housing for example in places like Balfour, Procter and Crescent Valley which is outside his area.

He says by taking pressure off one of the many areas of affordable housing need that can ease pressure elsewhere.

Marken entered the race in part because of what he sees as a lack of transparency over the recent RDCK office furniture contract being awarded out of area.
