Man killed in motorcycle crash at Bonnington

A 63-year-old man has been killed in a motorcycle crash at Bonnington.

It happened Monday around 1 p.m. at Highway 3A-6 and Bonnington Road.

RCMP say their initial investigation determined the motorcyclist struck an SUV which was stopped in the passing lane, trying to make a left turn off the highway.

“It appears as though the motorcyclist was not able to stop in time to avoid the
collision,” police said in a news release.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone who saw the crash or has dash cam video is asked to contact Nelson RCMP at 250-352-2156.
