Can the city of Castlegar find a better way to distribute grant-in-aid funding?
Ahead of the next budget the city’s finance committee will look at amending the policy that controls how council allocates the $15,000 dished out each year to community groups
Here’s councillor Deb McIntosh.
McIntosh wouldn’t say if they would consider increasing the amount of grants made available but did say there is also the Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives Funding that groups can apply for.
In recent budgets the city has handed out all of the $15,000 available by the middle of the year.
