Rosslanders see Moore as person to "fix" financial/reporting issues

The mayoral winner in Rossland says community dissatisfaction with the financial goings on at the city were a key factor in the election.

Kathy Moore scored a crushing victory over fellow councillor Jill Spearn.

Moore was at the heart of highlighting management irregularities which led to a review by the Auditor General for Local Government.

Moore says she wants to involve the community in a lot of what the new council will do.

Incumbent mayor Greg Granstrom – who had chosen to run for council instead- secured the least amount of ballots and is voted off the table.
