The wheels are in motion for Castlegar’s Bike Skills Park.
City council has agreed to pay $2,500 towards the design cost of the park – or roughly 82% of the bill.
Councillor Dan Rye says the next step is to sit down with the Castlegar Friends of Parks and Trails group.
Council believes the group hopes to break ground on the multi-phase project in Millennium Park next Spring.
The project overview indicates the park could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
