Two crashes in two days in the same spot just outside Nelson has fire and police warning motorists to drive to the conditions.
They happened near Grohman Narrows.
On Saturday afternoon the fire department responded to a vehicle that had slid forty feet down the bank. Fortunately the two occupants were okay.
Then late Sunday morning a vehicle went off the highway and ended up on its roof in the Groham pond. Again it was lucky both occupants were able to get out.
In this case the fire department used absorbent pads to clean up some fluid that had spilled into the sensitive eco system.
