The Castlegar Rebels have jumped into first place of the Neil Murdoch Division.
The Rebels swept a home and home exchange with the Grand Forks Border Bruins winning 8-2 Friday and 4-3 in overtime Saturday.
Castlegar has strung together three wins while Grand Forks has lost five straight.
In other action the Beaver Valley Nite Hawks ended a three game losing streak with a 4-1 victory against the Nelson Leafs Saturday.
Forward Mitch Foyle says with the standings so close – you have to win those divisional meetings.
B.V also lost 8-1 to Fernie Friday.
