Trail will contribute to regional econ development …for now

Trail will contribute to the East End Economic Development Service…for now.

The Silver City will cover over 43% of the $176,000 budget for the restructured Lower Columbia Initiatives Corporation.

However, City Manager David Perehudoff explains that should the proposed boundary expansion into Area A occur – Trail receives $250,000 a year from Teck to go towards economic development.

Part of the new LCIC agreement includes a service review before the end of 2015 to discuss how it is performing and if it should continue.

The Columbia Basin Trust will also provide a $50,000 annual contribution.
