Local CPR night train concerns reach House of Commons

The uproar from local communities regarding recent CP Rail schedule changes has made it to the floor of the House of Commons.

Local MP Alex Atamanenko brought it up Wednesday following a public meeting in Trail Friday that focused on the train that now rolls past homes in the dead of night.

Atamanenko put it to the Ministry of Transportation that CPR has no incentive to address public concerns and he wants Lisa Raitt to intervene.

Her Parliamentary Secretary says he’ll take the matter to her.
