Suspect arrested after attempted car-jacking at knifepoint

A suspect has been arrested after a man attempted to steal a car while threatening the driver with a knife, says the Nelson Police Department.

On September 4, around 4am, Nelson Police were quick to respond to the call where they found the victim unharmed in the area.

According to police, the suspect fled when he realized that he would not get away with the vehicle.

He was apprehended a few blocks away and was arrested for robbery, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
