If you’re a FortisBC electricity customer your rates are going up 3.5%.
The company has secured approval from the BC Utilities Commission to make the increase.
The hike is an interim one and comes into effect January 1st. There may be a further increase set in the new year.
The cost of an average residential electricity bill will go up by just over $4 a month.
