The man identified as Jordan Patrick Clark, then escalated further when he entered a local business, where he attempted to assault a customer.

A courageous staff member intervened, at which point the Clark struck the staff member and brandished a knife.

A second officer quickly arrived to assist, and together they successfully subdued and arrested the suspect.

“We want to commend the work of the officers involved, who responded swiftly and took the accused into custody before he could cause further harm to the public.” said Nelson Police Department.

Following a bail hearing on Tuesday October 8th, Clark was released by the courts.
