Canada Dental Plan milestone

In the six months since it’s inception, the Federal Government say more than one million Canadians have received care through the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Officials say today, the plan is also expanding to include more services, including the initial placement of partial dentures or crowns, as well as a request for services for those who have a particularly high need or complex condition.

They add paper claims will also now be accepted.

The Federal Government says nearly 90 per cent of active oral health providers are now providing care to Canadians under the plan.
