Searchers get possible lead in missing skier hunt

There could be a breakthrough in the search for the missing skier near Whitewater outside Nelson.
The search has been underway since Tuesday night.
Nelson RCMP received a tip of a possible sighting of Ymir’s Edward Perello who is missing after going skiing by himself Monday morning.

A member of the public told police he spoke to Perello in the parking lot of the resort and followed him towards the top of the summit before the two split into different directions.

Staff Sergeant Leanne Tuchscherer says these pieces of information are very important for their search.

Tuchscherer says a helicopter would be used weather permitting.
