Mangone appointed Head Coach of Nelson Leafs

After stepping in as interim head coach earlier this month, Gianni Mangone has been officially named Head coach of the Nelson Leafs.

“The Board of Directors for the Nelson Leafs Hockey Society would like to announce that we have made the decision to move forward with Gianni Mangone as the Head Coach of the Nelson Leafs. The Board is confident in Gianni’s abilities and his vision to lead the Team forward this season. We are excited about the direction that Gianni will take the Leafs in 2025.” said Nelson Leafs in a statement.

The Nelson Leafs are currently sitting 3rd in the Neil Murdoch Division.

The Leafs have one final game before saying goodbye to 2024, when they take on Beaver Valley Nitehawks in Fruitvale on Tuesday, December 31st at 3pm.

The team will return to home ice in 2025, when they host Spokane Braves on Friday, 3rd January 2025.
