Carney makes the call tomorrow

Mark Carney is expected to confirm tomorrow that he’s throwing his hat into the ring to lead the federal Liberal party.

The former governor of the Bank of Canada is expected to make the announcement during a party event in Edmonton. It follows what pundits consider a soft launch of his campaign on American TV Monday night, on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

He’ll be the fourth confirmed candidate. Three relatively unknown MPs has announced their intention to run for the leadership during the vote on March 9th.
