Trail’s $6.3 million integrated library/museum facility is top of the agenda for the new council and the community’s input on the facility is vital.
Mayor Mike Martin says naming three councillors to the newly formed Riverfront Centre Building Committee shows how much of a priority the facility is for the city moving forward.
Martin says a recent suggestion from the Library board to open the design of the building’s exterior to public consultation is a good idea.
Concerns over the first artist’s rendering of the exterior of the Riverfront Centre were raised heading into last month’s referendum despite a majority of residents voting in favor of an annual tax increase of $38 for the next 25 years.
