A Castlegar city councillor says the city will need to take a hard look at Blueberry Creek Community School’s big funding request.
The non-profit group has asked for $20,000 a year for three years. That’s to help with improvements to their daycare, youth and seniors programming and building needs.
But councillor Sue Heation-Sherstobitoff says pre-school falls outside the city’s scope of operations.
The Blueberry Community School group hopes the school district will give them the building they’re currently leasing.
