KIJHL Wrap: Jan. 2 – 5

The Nelson Leafs and the Beaver Valley Nite Hawks had different fates in overtime Sunday.

Nelson out shot the 100 Mile House Wranglers 50-31 but ultimately fell 4-3 in overtime.

Leafs’ Bench Boss David McLellan was still happy with his team’s effort.

Meanwhile, the Beaver Valley Nite Hawks tied things late in the third to force extra time against the Spokane Braves Sunday.

B.V would persevere in a 6-5 final.

On Saturday,

Nelson was edged 3-2 by Revelstoke.

The Castlegar Rebels were downed by 100 Mile House 4-1.

The Grand Forks Border Bruins were edged 3-2 by the Creston Valley Thundercats.

And on Friday,

Castlegar defeated Grand Forks 3-1 and B.V would skate past Creston in a 3-2 final.
