Selkirk VP wins honor

A provincial leadership award for Selkirk College Vice-President Neil Coburn.

He has been heavily involved in strengthening the transfer system in BC that allows students at one post-secondary institution to take their achievements to another.

Six years ago Coburn was appointed by the Minister of Advanced Education to the council of the body that oversees BC transfers.

Every course at Selkirk’s School of University Arts and Sciences for example allows successful students to move on to places like UBC, SFU and UVIC.
